Colorado's children's HCBS satisfaction survey email is real, and optional
Families of Colorado kids on CES, CwCHN, CHRP or CFC may get a survey email starting October 5, 2026. It is real, and answering is optional.
If your child gets Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) in Colorado, you may get an email asking about your experience. The email is real. Answering is up to you, and it does not change your child's services.
What's changing
Starting October 5, 2026, Colorado is emailing families of children on these programs a satisfaction survey about children's HCBS:
- Children's Extensive Support (CES)
- Children with Complex Health Needs (CwCHN)
- Children's Habilitation Residential Program (CHRP)
- Community First Choice (CFC)
The email has a survey link and a unique access code. It comes through a survey platform called Alchemer. The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) announced it in Informational Memo IM 26-007.
Answering is voluntary. The survey closes in early 2027. It changes no services or eligibility.
Who it affects (and who it doesn't)
This is for families of children who get HCBS through CES, CwCHN, CHRP or CFC.
No one's services, eligibility or deadlines change. Not answering has no consequence.
