Kentucky's waiver division has a new name on its letters
Kentucky's waiver division is now the Division of Long-Term Services and Supports. Phone numbers, programs and deadlines did not change.
The Kentucky office that runs the state's waivers has a new name. It is now the Division of Long-Term Services and Supports. Only the name changed.
What's changing
The Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) now calls this office the Division of Long-Term Services and Supports. It used to be called the Division of Community Alternatives.
Its web pages still live at the old address, under the /dca/ path. Phone numbers and responsibilities are the same. Only the name on the letterhead moved.
Who it affects (and who it doesn't)
This matters to anyone who reads state waiver letters or web pages. You may start to see the new name on letters.
No programs, deadlines or contacts changed.
Key dates
There is no date to act on.
What you can do
- If you get a letter from the Division of Long-Term Services and Supports, treat it like mail from the waiver office. Open it and read it right away.
- Keep using the phone numbers you already have. They did not change.
- Keep a copy of any letter you get.
